• Amtrak 682 today - two locomotives?

Amtrak 682 was operating with a locomotive on each end instead of the cabbage car. The rear locomotive seemed to be providing head end power at the station stop. Any idea why?

Happens every now and then when something goes wrong with the cabbage and it can't be used that day.

One set has had two P42's (its the one with 111 on the north end, I believe) sicne about mid-last week (week of Dec. 5). I know that a southbound was the train involved in the grade crossing accident up in NH...perhaps one of the cabbages was damaged in that and is out for repairs.

And I didn't get this one right either. The 111's trainset has the 90214 on the south end, as I saw it last night at North Station. The other set I believe has 192 on the south end...can't recall the north unit.
