Yes originally the train skipped Rt 17 until Don Bosco complained. Students used to board 47 until I’d was changed an hour earlier. 49 would then stop at Rt 17 even though it was not on the schedule until the next change. There is no reason at all for the R on the schedule except for NJT counting pennies.

Looking at the travel alerts, it says that 1167 is cancelled, and that passengers should use 1169 instead. Since 1167 turns east as 1128 at Suffern, that is also cancelled, but instead of simply telling passengers to use 1130, it says to "take NJT Extra Service train for service to Hoboken", but doesn't say what time it's leaving or what stops it makes. Is this something that commonly happens?

NJTransit 4109, their CNJ heritage locomotive is on Train 43 at Waldwick, NJ 7/30/2021. NJT 4109 was built as CNJ 3677 and became Conrail 4106. It was renumbered to NJT 4109 after it was rebuilt by Conrail's Juniata Shops. Note: Headlight is dim and ditch lights are off because of the 1200 series train changing ends in Waldwick Yard.
