F40PH-3C overhaul program

FINALLY.... 1060 & 1065 are released. Sitting near the Erie plant ready to be picked up.

It’s about time something gets to come back! Do you or anyone else know if they resolved the warranty issues on 1063 or not?

1060 & 1065 on the move. By the Northeast Pennsylvania railcam around 1205PM.

1060 and 1065 arrived in Selkirk early this morning. They should be down in Middleboro by Friday. As for 1063, nothing yet. Still in Erie.

Don’t think that they will be on the readville extra right away as they need to tear down in Rochester and then eventually on the nec for speed and cab signaling testing

Just saw a post on Facebook that mentioned that the 1066 is set to be released from Erie now?

Yes...it was placed on the set out/pick track. The 010 & 011 are there too, but Wabtec has not retrieved them.

What Facebook post are we talking about? If it’s save the f40 group I’m not in that. Does anyone know the status of the others in the rebuild process other than what has recently just arrived.

I think that Facebook post was mine and from a source out to PA/NY. Posted to the MBTA Commuter group and another one - MBTA Locomotives.
Don't know if the 1066 has been picked up as yet. No sign of it on the Fairport NY Railcam so far. No other info from Erie.

1066 in Selkirk today

For 1060, 1065, and 1066, are they actually here in testing in Rochester? Doubt that 1066 is since it was last listed in ny.

Don't know. There were never any reports of them getting to Middleboro. The 1066 is still in Selkirk as far as I know.

1060 and 1065 got to Middleboro a few weeks ago. We can assume MC picked them up and they are testing at area 52. As for 1066, it sill hasn’t been seen on Q346.

1060/1065 got to Framingham on 6/22. Since there were no visual sightings since then, I am figuring they got to Middleboro on 6/24.
