I had a Middletown branch question. Next to PermaTreat in Durham was a long spur into a business in the industrial park. It crossed Airline road twice. The initial section is still in use to switch tie cars for Permatreat. My question is Who used this spur? and when was it used? UCONN historic aerial maps

indicate it was built between 1970 and 1986. I never remember ever seeing it in use other than Permatreat north of airline road. I assume a long spur like this wasn't cheap to build. There was a time, I was told, where some Industrial park developers built sidings to attract tenants such as Prestige Park in East Hartford
