1031 back into service today, looks like it was assigned down south. The original 10 F40s that were sent out for rebuild are all now rebuilt and in service, Obviously the question now is if and when we will start getting anything beyond that back from Erie.

Seems like a much slower turnaround from Erie now. The car-bodies are being sent to Curry Rail in Holidaysburg, Pa. for refurbishing. According to a Facebook page, WABTEC has subcontracted this out, while the internal stuff is done at Erie.
The 1025's shell was shipped out of Erie yesterday.

1028 is being brought to Middleboro tomorrow on an extra out of Readville. Wonder if its the

The 1028 was rebuilt last summer, do you mean the 1058 by any chance?

The extra left 2038 for Mass Coastal to take to Hyannis.

The notice says 1028. Maybe it went to Area 52/Rochester for warranty work?

TPDX190201 (Flatcar with what I believe is either 1066, 1064, or 1051) made it back from CurryRail in Holidaysburg. Trace picks up in Erie earlier tonight. What work is left for Wabtec to do?

Next F40 headed from Holidaysburg to Erie should be on flatcar TPDX190598. As of yesterday, an F40 was loaded onto this car. Again, I'm unsure of the number.

Finally, it seems that progress is being made on the 3C program again.

No word on the next units out of Erie yet. They should come back in the following order:
1074, 1057, 1065, 1060
All 4 of these units have off of MBTA property for over a year now!

Updates to follow.

Another F40 body was seen on flatcar TPDX 190598 going west from CurryRail in Holidaysburg, PA on 67T. Look like it's in Conway yard right now waiting for something to take it west from there.

Attempt two at trying to get the 1061 working today. I spotted a doubleheader (1061-2022-1808) on Worcester Line trains 513 and 518 today. Guess they're giving the 1061 another shot at being in service.

In other 3C news, two more F40s are heading from MPI at Erie to CurryRail in Hollidaysburg on flatcars TPDX190201 and TPDX190598. These two units are 1026 and 1069.

Noticed this at NETransit:

Prep at Rochester: 1058

Does this mean this is the next F40 going to Erie or is the MBTA doing their own work on this loco for the time being?

1058 will be going to Erie. Interestingly enough, today's extra to Middleboro also includes the two Gensets (3248, 3249) for Rochester.
