Interesting, this would jive with a recent move to abandon some ROW in the Somersworth/Rochester area. It seemed the property owned didn't connect directly to anything, yet it was still in PAR hands, perhaps unknowingly for a long time. I'm not sure if the FRA filing has happened yet or not, but they were getting their paperwork together this summer.

Who knows how many unknown properties are on their books!
Would that be old Cocheco RR right of way?

Taking a quick look and Google search, it very well could be. I don't remember too much beyond the general area it was in.

I've noticed some signs of travel on the branch lately - I thought it was just a high-rail but a friend said she saw a locomotive pass Wild Flowers bakery today. Any other confirmed sightings?

Really?!? Wow ...

I wonder where the scrap is going ... They had to shutdown their operation in Portsmouth.

Caught a PanAm hirail truck on the line on Thursday at the River Road Topsham crossing. They had cut back some trees that had fallen on the ROW. I did not realize PanAm was still doing regular track patrol on the line, so it was cool to see.

Is Grimmel's still getting rail service or did that stop?

I wonder how old the google aerials are? It shows 7 empties at the end of their siding, plus an empty on the loading track coupled to the trackmobile they have and another 8 further down on it. 16 cars total
