Upon rereading that might have come across as a little harsh. While it is intended as such, it is not directed towards anyone here...just our government and the many armchair generals I know.

I don't think it was harsh, it was a very succinct point. By comparing the costs and analogizing to the salary of VA personnel, it makes a very real picture of the challenges we face in caring for vets. So many people just react to what they see without any context.
