There was a rail train parked on the old siding yesterday. Power was MP15AC 153 on the west and MP15AC's 171 and 172 on the east end. It disappeared today. Anyone know the reason the train was there. Also caught a ballast run on the Montauk in Bayshore yesterday. MP15AC's 152, 164, five ballast hoppers and MP15AC 170 on the west end. Not a bad day.

Both trains are for the same job on the Montauk branch. I think it's the Sayville area they are replacing rail? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The ballast train is laid up at Lindenhurst in the Wellwood siding as of 5/20.... now usually but not always early Sunday you can usually see work train moves. Anywhere from 8-10am in the morning.
