Two articles from nycsubway.org "A day in the life of a train operator;" and "a day in the life of a train conductor," by Alex LaBianca are fun. He is running a train of rusting red birds, and they last ran in 2003; so the articles are at least eleven years old. Put yourself in the shoes of a conductor and a motorman on the IRT.
