Was crossing the Betsey Ross today and noticed some RDG style cat poles that were paralleling the Delaware River. Following it on Google maps shows that it maybe came from the Reading Co. Port Richmond complex? From there it appears to run North crossing underneath Delair Bridge. It seems to join up with the NEC around Princeton Ave. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

That (IIRC) is the old Kensington and Tacony Branch of the PRR. It was freight only and the cat poles carried the transmission lines to the Port Richmond generating station. The line split from the main just west of Holmes Interlocking.
