NETransit says 86 active passenger locomotives, 62 required for peak service. That's an extremely healthy 42% spare ratio.

New schedules were released yesterday. I noticed the Haverhill Line has a new construction schedule which will make all offpeak trains operate express over the wildcat, but only for inbound trains (outbounds run the full route, local stops). Anybody have any more info on this? And why they couldn't just do single tracking with decreased frequencies similar to what's happening on the Lowell Line offpeak?

Also, on weekends, the Franklin Line will operate over the Fairmount Line all day (probably to help gain the 30 minute frequencies they wanted there), with connections to/from Providence Line trains at Readville for those going to Back Bay/Ruggles/Hyde Park.

For south Attleboro, it’s 3 inbounds and 4 outbounds. However, one of the outbound is on a midday train run. Technically speaking, it’s 3 in both directions for peak rushour.

Through multiple people's YT videos and images sent in discord, I've noticed the new departure screens installed on the mini highs on Readville Trks 2 + 3 and at South Attleboro. Readville also has gotten some better wayfinding updates (finally!)

South Attleboro should also be getting new train approaching signs instead of the old legacy red ones. I saw the changes last Friday while riding the train by.

Lets see...
On the Haverhill Line:
203 ended at Lawrence, Amtrak 680 took passengers to Bradford/Haverhill
206 ended at Lawrence, passengers were told to take train 208 which uhhhh....
208 is SUPPOSED to originate at Lawrence, but somebody had a genius idea to send the set that was supposed to go on it down on I think a deadhead. 208 HASN'T EVEN LEFT LAWRENCE AS OF 10:58 AM (it was supposed to leave at 10:04 and arrive boston at 10:52!)

I was on train 873 today, the 12:00noon South Station to Stoughton, which is the first outbound to stop at Readville (on Track 3). Much to my surprise, two passengers disembarked there!

Fun fact: The train had six bilevels, with the first two behind the engine being K-car 700 and a new R-car high 800 -- one of the oldest adjacent to one of the newest. If I recall correctly, the consist had a new gen 18xx and three new gen 8xx's.
