Does anybody have or knows any videos on youtube of a Amtrak color position signal showing approach slow? Never seen it before. Saw one video and asked the person if it was showing it. They guy said it did. But it was off in the distance and hard to tell.

Color Position Light Approach Slow aspects are hard to come by on the NEC. Fortunately, I know where they tend to be displayed.

Look harder. It is DEFINITELY approach slow. The bottom aspect is a little dim, but if look by the tree, you can see right bulb on the bottom aspect is clearly lit, especially at 6:36

See it now. Thought that was a light coming from some where else.

The highlight of the week was a meet between the Cresents at Moundville, Alabama. This was the first time I had ever ventured down that way and got luck and caught Train 20 in the hole to meet Train 19 at speed. This trip also sees the introduction of the Cycle Cam. Yet to be perfected it does have potential.

Howard, great videos, where is your location (I'm not familiar with MP's in my backyard, let alone half-way across the country).

Makes me itch for a train trip to the south - it got super warm up here for three weeks and we lived it up, but it's back to 50-ish. That's the norm, so I have no room to complain, but it's been a boring and damp winter up here. I need some sun and warmth.

Took this video last year. Westbound trains were crossing over at Thorn and then back at Leaman. Amtrak was working on installing on the signal system on the #4 track between Atglen and Paradise. Wish I went to Thorndale to see them crossing over. I wonder why they switched them over there instead of Park.

Manitou is where i observed the "Golden Spike Limited", an excursion train that operated New York-Brigham City to the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Golden Spike ceremony. That of course was during May 1969.

The train was handled by NKP #759 (from Harmon; as well as a B&O Dome Car); which I have to wonder if this was the last steam locomotive to operate on the Hudson Division. The equipment assigned to the train was liveried in a Baby Blue and lettered American Railroads. The train was Coach only, however it tied up each evening with the passengers lodged at hotels. There was no Diesel "helper' as is required by any Class I today.

It was good friday, which could mean extra viewliner for those travelling for Easter/Passover holiday.
