I am trying to get data and pictures for the Pennsy built engine #1223 a 4-4-0 from around the late 1800 to early 1900's . If anyone can supply ANY info, it would be greatly appreciated.
I want to try to model this engine in 4" scale.
Thanks in advance.

Check any of Alexander's or Wood's books on the PRR. Also PRR Hist. Soc.

Carleton's book, "Pennsy Steam, A second look" has a #1253 as a class D11a (Old Class P) 4-4-0 on pg 49. Construction time frame would have been around 1885.
