Other Cars On The RI

Has There Been Any 7200's And MILW's 8200's On The Rock Island Recently?

Cars from MILW have been on RI since the derailment last year... 8500's and a 8200.. might have been a 7200 as well. I don't know what is still on RI, I think there is an 8200 from MILW still running. The 8500's from MILW were 8518, 8505, 8513. At the same time 422 went to RI.. which went back to MILW a while ago.

Theres quite a few 8200 "MILW" cabs around. For some reason, 8229 & 8215 come to mind there's a 820*(9?) around somewhere too.........

The 7200 you are looking for is 7236
They're easy to spot, look for the "Commuter Rail" under the Metra logo.

As for the original ADA cars.....
7447 has also spent time on RI. As has 8477

8206, 8216 are on the Rock, also 8221 which was origanally CRIP 111 is on the Rock.

I Saw A Photo Of F40PH Locomotive 108 With Four Budd Cars With One Amerail Cab Car And 2 Pullman Cars One Was In The Metra Paint And The Other RTA Paint(Orange & Brown) It Was In June 2002 At LaSalle

Another spotting feature of the Milwaukee Road cars is that the car number is to the right of the door as you enter and the RTA logo is to the left. Some of the cars have had this changed, but you can see the outline of the removed RTA logo behind the car number. Many still have their old blue owners tag by the upper row windows .

It seems that the former CNW has a lot of our Budd cars. I wish they'd swap them back for the stupid 84xx and 74xx cars.
