As usual, it's 2am and I'm sitting at my desk doing homework. My desk overlooks (looking North) the 800 S block of 48th St, so I can see Baltimore Ave and the Rt. 34 trolleys go by all day. So tonight, at precisely 2am, I heard the audible reverse warning of a Rt. 34 car. I looked out the window and saw a dark trolley headed westbound on the eastbound track, moving in reverse. Mind you, by 2am the line has shut down for the night, and I hadn't noticed any eastbounds go by for several minutes, so I'm trying to figure out what the deal was with this. Maybe he was headed for the 49th Street tracks, but why go this way rather than just turning on the 40th Street loop and taking the 11, 13, or 36 tracks?
