Hi,

Either LIRR 62/C62/NY&A C62 or LIRR 65/C65/NY&A C65 caboose, now LIRC 105, has left Fresh Pond, NY, and is bound for or now at the Louisville & Indiana RR, Jefferson, IN.

Does anyone know which caboose was sold to the LIRC?

Is the other caboose still at Fresh Pond and for sale?

Thanks, Roger

I believe those two roads are affiliated under the same ownership (NY&A and the Louisville & Indiana). They certainly use similar paint schemes (green/white).

I think that NYA and the Louisville & Indiana are both part of the "Anacostia & Pacific Company", so that sort of greases the skids for easier movement of equipment between the two. I recall reading somewhere that the Louisville & Indiana is where the GP10s ended up, or that they were loaned out that way for a while.

One of the GP10s is still sitting in Gershow rusting away on its fuel tank..
