Anyone have any idea about an NS Passenger train on the Youngstown Line going West at Bayview Rd. (Hamburg, NY) at 8PM? It was the most awesome train I've ever seen, Two gleaming black & whites pulling red passenger cars with the last car having a huge window on the rear?

Over the past week, NS office special was moved to Binghamton, NY where it sat till Saturday Morning. They were by Waverly, NY at 10:40 with leader NS 2607- train was symbol NS 951. I would guess this to have been the same train.

Rumored to have David R. Goode the CEO of NS aboard.

I slept through it's passing. Haven't yet seen one of the damn things go by....

Only heard about this last night when I was at the Exhibit Car there in Waverly. They seem to have been very sucessful at keeping this whole special train thing secret, might it have something to do with the CP rail anouncement?

Ahh- must have the same source.... I had heard on Thursday; but didn't know how accurate the info was.

The train itself was pretty well known to have made Binghamton- no one seemed to notice it left.

A couple pice (with short time posting due to storage space) of the exhibit car and its inside:
first local H88 passes a newly arrived parked car at Waverly, NY:

the car on Friday- Sayre Historical Society canopy to the right:

Car is still here if anyone is interested- until July 5.
