NS Frequencies near Valley Forge

Hi, I am new to the area, and I have taken a liking to parking at the Port Kennedy Station in Valley Forge on my lunch breaks from work. I would like to start using my scanner so I know when to set down my sandwich and pay attention. What frequency does NS use on that track? I had my scanner today, and all I got was SEPTA.

46/46 (160.800) Main Line Dispatcher
50/50 (160.860) Abrams Terminal / Harrisburg East Dispatcher (West of CP Phoenix)

Harrisburg East is 50/50 (160.860) as I had already listed above, not 58/58 (160.980) which is CSX NI Dispatcher.

What is the train frequency on this line? I have been there several times and have never seen a train. This is the old ex-Reading main isn't it??

Assuming you mean traffic, not radio freq...it's hit and miss. A typical weekday between 9:00am and 3:00pm might see the following:

NS 34M westbound manifest 9-10am
NS 14G eastbound manifest 11-12noon
NS 39G westbound manifest 12-1 (Mondays this is light power only)
CSX Q190 light power to CP Forge and back (approx 12:30) as needed
NS slab train 67Z (westbound) or 66Z (eastbound) as needed, times vary
NS slab train 69J westbound, as needed, times vary
NS eastbound manifest 38G 2-3pm

And mon-wed-fri, if the CP 30J is running late into Philly, you may see him too...tho he's usually thru Forge at dawn.

And rarely the stone train returning to the quarry at Annville PA.
