pjb-While I'm not the moderator in this forum, discussion of the "original" Norfolk Southern Railway should be fine here and will probably get more exposure here than it would in the "General Discussion-Fallen Flags" forum.
For those of you who don't know, the original Norfolk Southern operated in the states of Virginia and North Carolina, with a 383 mile main line from Norfolk, VA to Charlotte, NC and a number of branches as well.
The original Norfolk Southern was merged into the Southern Railway on January 1, 1974.
