Snapped these this summer at what looks like an NJT rail yard in Pennsauken, at 73 and River Rd.

Anyone know about these cars and what's with using the paint schemes?

That's SW1500 502, now used on RiverLine MoW.

Not exactly. SW1500 502 is stored inoperable in the River LINE yard.

Well maybe #502 can qualify as a "classic engine"! :) (tis' a shame she sits there wasting away though)

Obviously, since its a 1972 unit and any vehicle 25 years and older is eligible for historic or classic status by NJ DMV!
