New rail siding in Jersey City

While I was driving around Tropicana I came across this facility.

They're getting a rail siding put in.

Is that a new siding, or an old one dug up from under the pavement? I see the tracks in the yard look new.

The New York Cross Harbor RR uses that track. It looks like they are finally fixing the crossing. I drove over it a few weeks ago and it was in very bad shape.

I know there's been a rail siding there at the 'Recycling' (well, scrap dealer) on the north side of Linden for a long time (and which I had seen Gondolas on years back, so it was being used), but it does look as if they are replacing the siding in that photo.
Good - certainly better than paving it over and forgetting about it...
