Actually, The P&W has trackage rights over CSX line to Fall River the line actually terminates just before the James Town Bridge where the old railroad Bridge is out of service. it was hit by a barge a number of yrs ago and the state of RI has decided not to fix it. the Newprot and Old COlony dinner train still runns down there but everything must be trucked over the bridge on a trailer. The P&W still dispatch the trains on the Island

Equipment is either trucked in or barged/trucked in to the island due to the
Sakonnet River drawbridge being out of service.

I don't think the P&W "dispatches" the island. It's probably an operating
agreement between the OC&N and Newport Dinner Train folks with
the state of R.I. transportation department.

actually the P&W told me that they still own the track and still dispatch it. the train has to call by phone for the form D
