What are some of the best train movies of all time? I'm not talking about documentaries. There's one movie I'd like to know the name of. It's about a runaway freight train with nobody onboard and all along the movie you go from the dispatch, to the train, to a track gang working on removing the rails ahead of it. That's about how much I remember other than it was pretty old as I recall (like late 70s or early '80s).

AmtrakFan, is that your best movie of all time or was that an answer for my movie search? Thanks

Scroll down about a quarter page on the Forums list and you'll find "Railroads In Media" forum which covers movies, TV, and so forth. Actually I think your question has already been asked there - there's a thread "Railroads in movies" which is 8 pages long.
