How far back do they check employment references? What else do they check?

Employment background: IIRC for T/O 10 years.

Education: From the 1st day you started school, till you got your H.S. Diploma or GED.

Criminal Background: From your first violation that you got caught for (excludes parking tickets, and driving violations) like jumping turnstiles or trespassing (doesn't matter what state either), till your last felony.

Credit Check: They do a credit check like most employers do today. Why? It shows responsibility, but I don't think they use it that much, if at all.

I just called today (January 11th 2008), and we still have a good wait. 968 was the last one hired, and it was 967 last month. 1 person in the last few weeks to month. They possibly now just want to weed out the bad ones who made it past schoolcar, but are going to do the wrong things on the road alone. Soon as they weed them out, then they will start calling again, and will know how many they will need to replace them. Then of course it starts again (weeding the bad ones out of that batch, and calling more replacements).
