First bicycle ride this spring on the Schuylkyll River path. Just past Luken's Steel and before the Norristown train station, going North, I saw new track being laid. The ballast is not yet complete, but all ties and rails are in place. It would seem to connect Luken's Steel to the Norfolk Southern tracks on the East side of the river. Does anyone know anything about this project?
It is interesting right now because the tracks are in place but a grade crossing is not started yet.

Okay, I was back again today and the address of the site is 1302-1304 Conshohocken Road, Conshohocken PA. Satellite images of the site look very different, so I believe that the area was graded significantly. I'll try to post photos but I see that that isn't simple.

Some rail-laying equipment is there as of 4/25/08.
