I was just wondering if the VRE station is the same as the Amtrak station at Lorton. If not, how far are they from each other?

No

VRE Lorton is north of Amtrak Lorton.

The VRE station is located on Lorton Station Boulevard at the top of this google hybird map.

Ah, thank you. There wouldn't happen to be a bus that has stops at both?

Possibly but it would be somewhat pointless, you need a car to get on the auto-train so you'd have a car when you got off.

You don't HAVE to have a car for auto train. And that's not why I'm asking anyway.
