KRL=BFTX?

i recently noticed that the movement of the black KRL garbage cars through buffalo slowed greatly...at first i assumed that they had been re-routed, but it would seem that they are once again back in action, however they have been restamped BFTX...does anyone have any information about this change or what the initials stand for?

I forget what the initals are for, but some (or all?) of those cars originate on the NYA in brooklyn.

I believe that BFTX is the reporting mark for Browning-Ferris Industries. They are involved in many waste management projects that use rail transportation.
