On a subway ride in Boston today, I noticed an ad from visitny.com. The ad is full of generic NYC images, and a few specific ones, such as a Brooklyn Bridge tower. Another similar image is of a train on an el structure, a decent reproduction of an R-62. In the left front, though, is a white seven in a blue circle. Directly below it is another image in the correct purple. Was this done to avoid paying the MTA a royalty for its circle 7? Any thoughts?
