My husband was tentatively hired for UP (conductor). We are just waiting on the medical tests, etc., which should just be a formality, as he is in excellent shape and has nothing of note in his background.

I was wondering what he should expect during his first few months after conductor school. What are the most common mess-ups to avoid? What are the biggest SHOULD DO and SHOULDN'T Dos?

Are there any pranks he should watch out for? My Dad got a job working for Boeing and spent the better part of his first day going from dept. to dept. attempting to collect a bucket of "prop wash"-- anything like that that my husband should know about?
