There's a certain type of switch stans i like, it's used in yards. It has a handle coming up from the base, and cames in either yellow, or white. I checked Walthers, and found nothing.

Thanks

Try searching for "switch stand" instead? I assume you meant HO- there are many models of switch stands, working and static.

Check out the ones from NJ International- they are the best detailed working models in HO.

Are you for real? This is as close as it gets:

Or these:

You wont find an exact match for your photo unless you build it yourself.

Hrm...looks like im gona become a scratchbuilder! Those aren't on the line around here, which is what we're trying to model.

This is what I use on my layout.

Currently I don't have any images on my website showing this.
The MicroEngineering version (highlighted above) is the best out there in non-functioning.

The yellow handle called a "safety handle" hasn't yet been made by anyone I know of. Would be hard to keep it from getting bent up anyway.

Andy- feel free to scratchbuild. Sometimes you make compromises when you build a layout. You can use one of these models as a start, then add in the safety handle.

Good, idea. I might just go with a normal one.

As CIOR said, this fellow isn't made yet. CSX put those into South Anderson Yard a few years back and I have been looking at them, but think that I'll just stay with the Caboose Industries graound throws that I am currently using.

The Caboose Industries ground throw is a good, effective machine. We used them on our club layout in the early days before all turnouts were motorized. They are grossly out of scale, but easy for 1:1 hands to operate.

Has anyone ever tried using the N scale ground throws on HO scale turnouts?

I've used the Nscale version w/o problems. Just be sure to center the points w/the handle up before permanent installation. While still overscale, appearance is better than the reg. version.
