Hi all,

IHP now has patterns complete for the HO Scale Budd SEPTA 'Almond Joy'
transit cars. See photos and details on the IHP website.

The 'Almond Joy' cars will be sold in 2 car sets and will be available
in our Apprentice Series as shell kits and the Motorman Premier Series
(with Bowser drives).

These models have never been made before commercially, so IHP is first
again on the market with a long-awaited transit car model.

Thanks,

Mike Bartel

A couple of new photos of this model are on the IHP website now. Bowser drive is installed and you will get an idea of what the models will look like.

Finished models will feature a Bowser drive custom made for IHP as well as authentic paint and markings. RTR models will be sold in 2-car sets with both cars powered and painted. Estimated MSRP (at this time) about $350.

Thanks,

Mike Bartel

As much as I would love to get a set, $350 is somewhat a little too pricey for my budget, especially since I would be using them for display only. I will probably eventually buy a set, along with some of your other SEPTA models, if I'm able to save up the money, and/or if they come down in price. In the meantime, I'll probably stick with the much cheaper, less detailed models the Transit Museum Store sells for $26 each (Silverliner IV, M4), if whoever made those models makes some of the other vehicles, such as the Budd Silverliner IIs and M3 "Almond Joys".
