Two days ago, I made some recordings, because the weather is very nice at the moment here in Southern Germany

Unfortunately there wasn´t much freight traffic ...
But I was able to record a Class 66 made by GM at the startup of the engine

Did Germany buy the class 66 new from GM , or are they secondhand English locomotives ???

They are new, nearly 600 produced so far .
This is why Buy american restrictions like MBTA encounters are such absolete restrictions.
The EU buys way more locomotives from US than US buying from EU.
