When taking the train from Shirley to Fitchburg, with Shirley being a flag stop, where is the correct place to stand in order for the train to stop? Can not find the answer on the T website.

On the platform, in view of the engineer. Give a quick wave if you feel necessary.

Stand on the side where the shelter is(inbound side).

FWIW, west facing CPF-333 signals seem to have become approach lit after having been initially set as continuously lit. Westbound T trains actuate the lights when they enter the block east of the CPF-333 interlocking and stay lit while train dwells at the station. Not sure what happens with Pan Am eb traffic on tracks 1 and 2.

As on the Needham line, Keolis/MBTA/Dagle Electrical Construction are erecting a pole line to hold the PTC fiber optic cable alongside track 2 of the Fitchburg line on the east side of Shirley near Patterson Road (where 2 track panels await installation at the crossing).

On Sunday 1/18/18, contractor was installing PTC fiber optic poles at CPF_Derby. Given Pan Am and MBTA are in a dispute over installing I-ETMS PTC (that freight RRs will use) as well as ACSES II between Wachusett and Ayer, I wonder if Pan Am will permit installation of PTC poles on their RoW between Fitchburg and Wachusett?
