Arthur J. Acker, 81, Reiffton, died Aug. 30 at 9:45 p.m. in
ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where he had
resided since July 7.
His wife, Marion J. (Heuschen) Acker, died July 1, 2002.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Arthur and Verna
(Boyer) Myers and his adopted parents, Harry G. and Emma
(Taylor) Acker.
Acker was employed for several years as a salesman by Zeswitz
Music Co., Reading, and was last employed for 35 years as a
car router by the Pennsylvania Railroad, until his retirement.
Surviving is a nephew, Stephen L. Clouser, Whitfield.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bean Funeral
Homes Inc., Reading. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
