Did some exploring last weekend, in the area NOT talked about for the rail trail. Went from the old danversport station (or creese and cook) all the way to the trestle just before peabody - didn't dare cross! the line is mostly overgrown but actually in decent shape for a line that hasn't seen a train in 15 (?) years, and maintenance in probably 30. lots of ties with nails from 41, though i did see a few 30s in there too.

anyhow i found a little spur i never knew existed, went up behind hollywood hits theatre and ended abruptly where the rails were cut. the was a little bridge in surprisingly good shape, although my guess is not used in 50 years? anyone know anything about this?

That spur was to the Hebb Leather Company.
