The NS R71 with Chessie power was running between Port Reading Jct & Allentown this AM. The unusual train symbol is typical of those assigned to foreign trains running on NS rails, so I'm assuming this was a CSX train.

Anyone know the cause of this unusual routing?

Good chance it's a re-route due to the huge derailment in Oneida, NY

A CSX train ran last evening on the Lehigh Line as the NS O76.

The NS O70 is running on the Lehigh Line at 0850 with Chessie 4807. They will tie down on the Royce Runner & swap trains with a westbound Chessie.

The NS 070 will swap crews with the NS 071 in Bound Brook (0914). NS O71 power had CSXT 5357 on the nose (GE ES44DC).

Rerouted Chessie traffic seems to be picking up this AM.

Yes, I like how the dispatcher calls these trains "Chessie Trains"
