I think part of the east end of the westbound platform of 2nd Street station is where the tracks curved into the old tunnel, judging from those pics above.....
The new construction (and the current ownership line) in the middle of the station where the roadbed ballast starts and the center pillars stop.

Everyone:

It is is hard to believe that the I-95 center median and Spring Garden Station segment of the MFSE
from 2nd Street to south of Girard is now 40 years old this year. The completion of this section was
actually aided by the long Spring 1977 SEPTA CTD strike in which construction was unimpeded by
not having MFSE trains in service to replace the elevated segment containing the old Fairmount
Station which was deteriorated but upon demolition was found to be stronger then it appeared...
