Would the 10 ride punch tickets count as other, or single?

Also what comes to mind is the $10 round trip ticket to Salem on Halloween. They do similar thing for other events like the Boston Marathon or When the Tall Ships visited.

I believe those are counted as a single ride ticket ("fixed ride" might be the more apt terminology, but since this is from the same survey as for subway and bus where there isn't an n-ride ticket), versus a pass-like product that has no limit on number of rides (beyond schedule constraints etc.).

as two one-way tickets
When did that change? It used to be that you got a ticket with "round trip" punched on it if you purchased a round-trip ticket on board.

What about people who have a whole mess of unused tickets? If I need to go to Zone 8, I'd pull out a Zone 3, then buy an interzone 6 at the station, and present both to the conductor :-D Would I be counted twice?

I know that this is probably very rare. I always end up with a mess of unused tickets due to changes in plans, work scheduling, etc.
