If anyone wants to see the outer shell of the Suburban Station tunnel, now is the time as it is exposed with the construction of the Comcast Tower in full swing.

Does anyone know if the building will go directly above the tunnel, and if so will that mean demolition of the original tunnel structure, meaning we will be seeing daylight at the West end of the station platforms for a bit of time?

If so, how disruptive will this be to train traffic? The original structure is 75 years old, so I can't see building over top of it....not 70 stories anyway.

Comcast Center will rises on the Arch Street side of the block, not over the tunnel itself but just to the north.

The plaza will sit atop the tunnel. I don't think construction will affect train travel at all.

Correct. No disruption is planned for train travel.

It'll be interesting to see what the 120-foot high winter garden entrace to Suburban Station will look like.
