Looking at maps I see CN has a dead-end line to Withrow, MN, just east of the Twin Cities they got from their Wisconsin Central acquisition.

Anyone know what sort of traffic goes over this line or how frequently? Who do they interchange with on it, CP?

They have Overhead Trackage Rights over CP beyond Withrow for interchange. They interchange with CP at Cardigan Jct, with Minnesota Commercial at New Brighton, and with BNSF direct at Northtown Yd. They operate one train each way per day out of Stevens Point, WI. This train with an L517/L516 symbol also serves their IM facility at Chippewa Falls, and their Auto Compound at New Richmond, WI. It is usually a good sized train out of the Point. Crews layover in the Twin Cities. It is not unusual for the crew out of the Point to outlaw before reaching Northtown Yd. The outbound crew will frequently takeover at New Brighton.

Thx. for the detailed info! Hoping to visit the Twin Cities and Twin Ports this year or next, looks like a lot of rail activity to check out there.
