CHICAGO CONGESTION

Anybody know what is going on in chicagao? we on csx albany div have had a number of trains canceled and re-routed due to chicago congestion

Are there any other ways to route traffic from east to west coast besides going through Chicago? Would the Canadian Railroads be able to route traffic around this area?

well... NS trains are backed up and CSX trains are also backed up. selirk yard is over flowing. chicago yard is a mess. the whole chicago main line is soo backed up that csx is running 1-6 trains a day.

There's a far site more than 1-6 trains a day running up here. Closer to 40 - 50 but still congested and Trains are being held for 12 or more hours.

Yeah it sure seems like trains are taking forever to get from point A to point B on CSX these days. Holding in terminals and trains running at odd times seem to be a usual thing on CSX these days. I've seen trains like Q112 and Q140 running very very late. Must be pure congestion and the inability to find open tracks.

Chicago to Willard must be a nightmare.
