Hello, for those of you who don't know, or have been wanting to know. The Chesapeke and Indiana RWY. is located in northern Indiana on a former segment of the Pere Marquette and the old C & O of Indiana. It is headquartered down in Connersville, In. and the operations base is located in La Crosse, In. The track and right of way is owned by the city of North Judson, In. it is leased to Indiana Boxcar Inc. This line isn't used everyday. Although during grain train season they do get busy, and during fertilizer season. I.B.C.X. has supplied atleast three different locomotives for the shortline to use. One of them is suppose to be leaving this week to go to a sister operation. This unit is the 2097. It was an ex. Santa Fe G.P.-7. It is painted in Georgia Northeastern colors. They also have a G.P.-20 ex. WSORY / SP. A G.P.-16 ex. Clinchfield / SBD / CSX / Newcastle R. R. this unit was made from an G.P.-7. They also have on loan from V.L.I.X.
