Just a question, how often are the regional cars completely cleaned, including seats and window sills (of all the gunk that collects there)...

And for comparison, how often are the city transit system rail cars cleaned. I would imagine that the Blue Line and Green line cars need to be cleaned every day?

I can speak for the Regional Rail. Generally, most of the equipment is cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. SEPTA is very keen on cleanliness on the Regional Rail, and from what I've seen on the BSL and MFL, they look relatively just a vigilant. The coach cleaners sweep and mop floors, wipe down the windows and grab irons, scrub the interiors if necessary. One thing I can say is that SEPTA does make an effort in regards to the cleanliness of the RRD fleet, as well as the MFL and BSL.

Cloth seats arent the best thing for the El. Anything that can absorb anything in those conditions scheeves me out.
