Once I successfully complete the conductor training in Sweetwater, TX, will I remain in Sweetwater for job assignment? We are trying to plan our family move and I was wondering if we should move before school or wait until afterwards?

I'd see where you will fit in with your seniority. When you finish training, you may get forced elsewhere. Just ask around as to what prospects you have. Talk to the conductors who train you. They may also be able to guide the best places to live. It sounds like you are relocating. They might tell you about where taxes are low, living expenses are affordable, and if you have children, which school district is preferable.
