They drove around traffic to beat the train. Bells & lights were working. They caused this accident. Hi SirsonicCan we PLEASE wait until ALL the facts are in before we jump to conclusions?

I would say the facts are pretty clear on this one. They drove around traffic to beat the train. Bells & lights were working. They caused this accident. How does ANYONE know if the truck was trying to beat the train? I'm holding whatever judgement I deserve to give until after ALL the FACTS are disclosed.

While the driver did drive directly in front of the approaching train, and so knowingly risked his own life, and caused his death, the passenger was not in control of the vehicle. For all we know he was shouting to the driver to stop as he pulled around the stopped traffic. To say he deserved to die for the actions of the driver is rather cold.Very true. And we probably will never know.
