Audio Tape of Runaway Train - Nepisiguit NB

If this has already been covered, I cant find it so I'll put the story and links here.

This is recorded audio of a runaway ore train on a sub in Canada. The engineer is still on board, and stays with her till the end. The train left the tracks on a curve just before the wye to the main.
"details" is a link to the official transcripts and other info including pics of the aftermath. The engineer walked away without a scratch.. One lucky hogger. This occurred in 1987 so I'm sure there are some who recall the incident.

Chilling audio. Amazing to think he walked away from that. Shame on CN for putting him thru hell thou.

It's not the CN main proper, but the Main of the old Intercolonial RR, on the CN line from Mont Joli QC to Moncton NB, the CN main is on the other side of the Province.

This line was the feeder to one of the largest nickel mines in the world, soon to be closed down if it hasn't been already.
