Are there still any 40' boxcars in use in North America?

Just curious if anyone new if 40' boxcars were still used anywere or when there were last used? (other than work trains)

You can order new ones from Trinity Railcar (pdf) (at least you could recently), and I believe some (600 were ordered in 2000) are in bagged cement service for Cemex.

Thanks for the link, that makes sense, if you can fit your whole load at the max 286000 pounds, and you can fit it in a 40' car, then you dont need a bigger car.

I have not seen many 40' cars in active service but on occation one might appear in MOW service moveing supplys around with a track gang with in the U.S.
A couple few friends of mine informed me that 40 foot boxcars are still but unofficially being used in Canada on CP Rail as well as on the Ontario Northland in noninterchange service. I do not believe that these cars are listed in the Offical FRA Railroad Car register.
