does anyone have any pictures of the Amtrak MOW yard in Providence or the P&W yard near the Amtrak MOW base?

I don't think the P&W has any yard tracks in that area anymore. There used to be a wye east pf the facility..........I remember being on the Cape Codder equipment while it was wyed there many, many years ago.

The closest yard that I know of the P&W having would be the one @ Central Falls.

What will happen to the long established MofW facility at Midway (Groton, CT).

Oh Midway, how did it get such an original name?

Quite simply it is half-way between New Haven and Boston, or reoundly some 78 miles from either. The New Haven had a coaling tower there; beyond that I defer to our cadre of "New Haven hands" for brief historical discussion.
