Hey guys, I last heard that only 3 AMD-103 locos were still in Phase III and 4 were in Phase IV. I think AMTK 34 is still in Phase IV, but i could be mistaken.
Anyone know which locos are still in these schemes?

Also when does Amtrak run the P40s? Didnt they try to sell them off? Possibly theyre just in storage until needed these days?

The Auto Train/Sunset Pool remain in service, only the NEC ones have been stored. Most NEC P40s are stored or in work train service, as of this week only 828 is still running in service on the NEC (at present on New Haven - Springfield trains).

This seems like a good time to plug my webshots site. In the "rail photos" folder, towards the end (pages 6 and 7) there are a few new photos, including a couple of P40 #813 in Phase IV, taken back in January 2003.

I believe P32ACDM #700 is still painted in the as delivered scheme. I last saw it maybe a month ago or so. The 700 & 706 suffered major engine failures which is why the overhauls were pushed out to a later date. I think the 713 is also still painted in its as delivered scheme as well.

#700 went to Beech Grove in August and was seen outside the shops in fresh Phase Vb paint 10 days ago. 706 was there too waiting to go inside for attention, still in Phase III but probably not for much longer.

#713 was still Phase IV when last reported about 4 weeks ago.

I'm proud to say that I managed to get at least 1 photograph of every one of the 18 P32AC-DM's in their as-delivered paint, it only took me 5 years to do it but I got the last one I needed (#713) in March 2003! Now, I just need to get photos of all of them in their new paint, probably will take another 5 years!
