All day, PATH repeats a message urging customers to be vigilant. Okay. Then it says "passengers are urged to refrain from bringing bags and packages on PATH."

What kind of stupid thing is that to say? IT'S A COMMUTER LINE. PEOPLE HAVE TO BRING THEIR BAGS WITH THEM!!

It plays all the time at 14 Street station. I think that it's just poorly worded. What they're trying to say is that you shouldn't bring any bags that could warrant seizure or suspicion because it slows down the commute for everyone else whilst police officers (incompetently) inspect the bag.
